KeepKonnect ("we," "our," or "the app") is a personal CRM application that helps you manage your professional and personal connections. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

KeepKonnect does not collect, store, or transmit your data to any servers owned or operated by KeepKonnect. All contact and relationship data you create is stored exclusively in a Google Sheets spreadsheet within your own Google Drive account. You retain full ownership and control of your data at all times.

2. Information We Access

When you sign in with Google, the app requests access to the following:

• Google Account Profile & Email — Used solely to authenticate you and display your name/photo within the app.
• Google Sheets (read & write) — Used to create, read, and update the "KeepKonnect Data" spreadsheet in your Google Drive where your contacts are stored.
• Google Drive (metadata & file access) — Used only to locate or create the KeepKonnect spreadsheet in your Drive. We do not access any other files.

These permissions follow the principle of least privilege. The app only accesses what is strictly necessary to function.

3. Information You Provide

You may enter personal contact details (names, emails, phone numbers, notes, etc.) into the app. This information is written directly to your Google Sheets spreadsheet. We never receive, view, or process this data on any external server.

4. Device Permissions

• Camera — Used exclusively for scanning QR codes (e.g., LinkedIn QR codes). No photos or videos are stored or transmitted.
• Internet — Required to communicate with Google APIs (authentication, reading/writing your spreadsheet).
• Clipboard — Used to let you copy or paste information within the app (e.g., copying a contact's LinkedIn URL).

5. On-Device Processing

KeepKonnect includes a smart search feature powered by a machine-learning model that runs entirely on your device. No search queries or contact data are sent to any AI service, cloud API, or third party for processing. A search index and embedding cache are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.

6. Third-Party Services

The app interacts with the following third-party services:

• Google (Sign-In, Sheets API, Drive API) — For authentication and data storage in your own account. Google's privacy policy applies to their handling of your account data: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not use any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.

7. Data Collection

KeepKonnect does not collect:

• Personal information
• Usage or analytics data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Contacts from your phone's address book
• Call logs, SMS, or browsing history

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties. Since your data resides in your own Google Drive, only you (and anyone you choose to share your Google Sheet with) can access it.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your data is stored in your own Google Drive, you can view, edit, or delete it at any time by:

• Editing or deleting contacts within the app
• Opening and editing the "KeepKonnect Data" spreadsheet directly in Google Sheets
• Deleting the spreadsheet from your Google Drive entirely
• Revoking the app's access to your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data (search index, embedding cache, preferences) from your device.

10. Children's Privacy

KeepKonnect is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will assist in removing any locally cached data.

11. Security

Authentication is handled through Google's OAuth 2.0, an industry-standard secure protocol. All communication with Google APIs occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not store passwords, tokens, or credentials on any server.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
